Welcome to Loreto! Do you have limited time in the Amazon? This 2-night, 3-day stay gives you the chance to get away from it all, and get a taste of the local way of life.
Day 1
Arriving in NAUTA the day before, we meet at 9 a.m. at the market: local produce and water cans, a must before heading out of town. Departure by boat for the school, a 2-hour trip.
Typical lunch. Jungle walk to learn about biodiversity
Dinner: introduction of everyone and history of the school told by Casilda.
Day 2
Typical breakfast. Discussion of master plants and how art is medicine.
Morning painting workshop
Typical lunch. Afternoon excursion and visit to the village, and sunset by boat (depending on conditions).
Dinner. Night walk to listen to animal sounds
Day 3
Typical breakfast. Walk to learn about plants, giant trees, etc.
Morning painting class
Lunch time. Fishing on the banks of the Ucayali + rest.
